The new system – apparently as a “hover-support module will be delivered – will appear with each of Cypress’ work TrueTouch capacitive touch screens.

Hover detection is useful because it adds an extra measure of control finger-touch touch screens. During an active digitizer that one special pen – like Wacom product line, and often found on Tablet PCs – you can hover the pen tip on the screen and move the mouse in this way a regular capacitive or resistive touch screen in the usually used only one title or more correspondents. To circumvent this limitation, are either operating systems developed to two touches – one for the selection and one for activation, as required on Nokia’s S60 5th Edition mobile devices – or remove a hover-style functionality (eg menus to open) Total.

The Cypress system, now would allow you to slide your finger over the touch screen point of a device, such as a smartphone, to move PND or tablet, and have to react the UI, the company proposes to follow a dynamic zoom bubble, the tip of the finger would what little website links easier to read and I suggest, or pulling up POI information on a map. Cypress expect the Hover support module available to producers sometime in Q2 2010.
